Martin Bell

Managing Director

Martin, a seasoned construction professional, began his career in 1992 after earning an HND in Construction Management. Rising from Site Manager to Director in the family business, he took full ownership in 2005, expanding it nationally with a turnover of £30 million by 2024. With a project portfolio over £100 million, Martin’s leadership drives success. He also holds multiple directorial roles in the construction and property sectors, cementing his industry reputation.

Stuart Moncrieff

Chief Operating Officer

Stuart, an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 30 years in construction, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1996. He has managed diverse projects, including new builds, refurbishments and insurance reinstatements, often in high-security environments. Since 2003, Stuart has held senior commercial roles, becoming a Commercial Director in 2016.

Ben Simpson

Operations Manager

An experienced construction professional with over 10 years of working for construction material manufacturers, specialising in flat roof waterproofing and external wall insulation systems. With hands-on involvement across both technical and sales aspects of construction projects, he has developed strong expertise in managing project delivery and overcoming complex challenges. Ben joined BSR in early 2026 as Operations Manager.

Daniel Lofthouse

Contracts Manager

With over 20 years of experience in the construction and building envelope industry, Daniel has built expertise across roofing, waterproofing, refurbishment and project management. Starting his career in structural steel fabrication and CAD design, he progressed into estimating, contract management and project leadership. Daniel is recognised for his technical knowledge, practical approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable roofing solutions, overseeing projects from initial surveys through to successful completion.

Douglas Sheppard

Procurement Manager

Douglas is a procurement and supply chain specialist with over 30 years of construction industry experience after graduating with a BSc in Building Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University. He has worked previously in senior roles for leading UK building envelope contractors and now supports Bell Sustainable Roofing projects by working closely with our supply chain to deliver value, quality, and practical solutions.

Jim McEleny

Estimating Manager

Jim has over 40 years of construction industry experience, bringing extensive expertise in structural steelwork, cladding and roofing systems. Joining the business in 2003 as Steel & Cladding Manager, he was responsible for pricing, detailing and procurement of structural steelwork and metal roofing and cladding packages. Having contributed to almost 200 live projects over more than two decades, Jim now focuses on enquiries and pre-construction support, drawing on his wealth of technical knowledge to help deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

Martin Howell

Health and Safety Advisor

Martin is a Health & Safety Advisor with over 20 years of construction health and safety experience. NEBOSH qualified and affiliated with IOSH, he supports projects across fire remediation, roof remediation, full internal refurbishments and subcontractor management, ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained throughout. His experience spans healthcare, education, residential, retail and heavy civil engineering projects. Martin has been part of the business since 2018, providing expert health and safety guidance across a diverse range of construction schemes.

Michelle Lynch

Sales Manager

Michelle, an experienced Group Sales Manager, has over six years of experience in the built environment sector, delivering building excellence across industrial, commercial, and retail projects nationwide. Her core strengths include new business development, client retention, social networking, and account management. Michelle joined Bell Sustainable Roofing in early 2025.

Hope Woodhead

HR & Recruitment Manager

Hope is the HR & Recruitment Manager for Bell Sustainable Roofing, leading the company’s people and recruitment function across the UK. She is responsible for attracting and retaining talented professionals, supporting employee development, and ensuring HR best practice is embedded throughout the business. Working closely with senior management, Hope plays a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth by putting people at the heart of its success.

Marketing Coordinator

Chloe is the Marketing Coordinator for Bell Sustainable Roofing, supporting the development and delivery of the company’s marketing strategy.
